A IMPORTÂNCIA DA REPRESENTAÇÃO SINDICAL AOS TRABALHADORES

Abstract

The present work aims to demonstrate concepts and the particularities of union entities, more precisely

the workers unions, from their origin in the world to their historical evolution in Brazil, as there were

several changes in jurisprudence and labor legislation that provided great achievements, from the 19th

century until the 1988 Constitution. However, some issues hinder the affiliation of workers to the union

of their class, such as lack of information and pressure from the employer not to be associated, in

addition, with the advent of the Labor Reform, unionism suffered many negative impacts, such as the

reduction of their source of income, with the current mission to overcome these difficulties, to continue

guaranteeing individual and collective rights of the worker, acting in the relationship between employer

and employee, in favor of the interests of their category. For this, many unions have been adopting new

methods, as a way to strengthen relations with workers, offering not only representation linked to labor

activities, but also benefits and partnerships, such as health care, vocational courses, leisure and other

activities for the member and his family , with this, in addition to pleasing its members, they can attract

new affiliations to the entity and make it even more strengthened and independent.
